Academic content

The main aim of the Master is to instill in students the management tools specific to the luxury sector and investigate the primary professions practiced within the industry and the defining features of the environment.

    Master year 1:

Emphasis in the first year is placed upon learning the fundamentals of luxury and strategic management of a company from the sector.

Recent developments in this post-COVID world are covered in light of the major changes undergone by luxury brands in this period in terms of digitalization, innovation, the emergence of new clients in the form of Millenials and Gen Z, and sustainable development.

Each year, Master 1 students are tasked with organizing a charity event helped by a luxury company in support of an association for saving the planet.

This provides the means for students to learn in concrete terms how to raise an audience’s awareness of CSR causes, as they will do in the near future once they begin working within a luxury company.

    Master year 2:

The approach in the second year is operational.

This part of the Master incorporates meetings with luxury industry professionals, case studies and professional challenges such as the masterclass set up in tandem with a luxury company.

This masterclass involves heads of a luxury brand providing a real issue affecting their company for which students must devise a solution and then present it to the client by the end of the day.

This particular working day offers a genuine opportunity for students to showcase their skills, know-how, and self-awareness.

Total class time is 511hrs for the fourth year and 504hrs for the fifth.
