Admission onto the 1st year of the Grande Ecole-Master in Management program  

 

Admission onto the 1st year of the Paris School of Business Grande Ecole-Master in Management program is aimed at final-year, high school pupils and students in the process of completing one year of post-secondary studies who wish to change their direction of study. The admissions procedures depend upon the diploma studied for. 

 

For applicants preparing for or with a French baccalaureate – Parcoursup procedure 

SESAME competitive entrance exam 

The SESAME competitive entrance exam is common to 16 interntaional business and management schools delivering diplomas recognized by the Ministry for Higher Education and Research. Since its creation in 1992, the SESAME entrance exam has established itself as the benchmark among post-secondary entrance exams.

 

Practical information 

  • Entrance exam fees: 295 euros (regardless of the number of programs/schools chosen). 
  • 1 preference: SESAME entrance exam

SESAME entrance exams 

Sequence 1: Understanding 

  • Length: 1,5hr 
  • Contemporary issues: 
    40 questions - 30mins - Weighting 8
  •  Mathematics: 
    20 exercises - 40mins - Weighting 8 for French Track and 6 for English Track
  • Digital skills: 
    20 exercises - 20 mins - Weighting 4

Sequence 2: Communicating 

  • Length: 1hr 30mins 
  •  French: 
    40 questions - 30mins - Weighting 7
  •  English: 
    40 questions - 30mins - Weighting 8 for French Track and 10 for English Track 

    For the English Track: Failing grade if 12/20 or lower.

  • Additional foreign language: 
    40 questions - 30mins - Weighting 5.00 
  • Choice of languages: 
  • Arabic, Chinese, Dutch, German, Hebrew, Italian, Japanese, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish   


 

Sequence 3: Analyzing 

  • Length: 2hrs 
  • Document analysis: 
  • 20 questions - 2hrs - Weighting 10.00 

Weighting 25.00  
Bonus grade (grades over 10). 

The file grade takes into account the following: 

  • Average obtained for the French baccalaureate. 
  • Grade determined from the average grades obtained in the penultimate and final years of secondary education or, if the applicant has already obtained the baccalaureate, the overall average for their baccalaureate (except French).   
  • General high school report on the applicant’s attendance record or (if the applicant already has the baccalaureate), the merit/distinction obtained.   


 

1/ Group interview 

2/ Individual interview in the form of a pitch, followed by 1 or 2 questions from the jury.

Weighting 50.00 

The oral admissions interview takes place in person, on campus.  

 

For applicants preparing for or having obtained a foreign baccalaureate (or equivalent) – non-Parcoursup procedure 

For final-year high school pupils in the process of obtaining an international baccalaureate or students having obtained an international baccalaureate. Admission onto the first year is based upon an application file followed by an oral admissions exam. 


 

Application file 

The following must be attached: 

  • Application file with ID photo to be completed online or downloaded 
  • Photocopy of official ID (ID card, passport, etc.) 
  • Photocopies of diplomas and reports obtained from baccalaureate level   
  • CV 
  • Covering letter 
  • 100 euros administrative fee (reduced to 50 euros for scholarship students, subject to producing the definitive scholarship certificate for the academic year in progress) 
  • Letter of recommendation from a professor, head of institution or employer (optional) 

English test 

  • Results obtained in an English language test (IELTS, TOEFL, TOEIC) dating from the past two years for students having already sat such a test.  
  • If the applicant cannot provide an official grade, they will receive a link enabling them to take an online test. 

Minimum required level for applicants for a program in English:  

  • 1st, 2nd and 3rd years: IELTS 5.5/TOEFL 70 
  • 4th year: IELTS 6 / TOEFL 80 


Oral exam 

30-minute individual motivation interview.   

The aim of this interview is to assess the degree of motivation and open-mindedness of the applicant as well as how appropriate their personality/knowledge is for the teaching delivered at Paris School of Business. 

The applicant may choose to attend an individual interview in person (on campus) or remotely. For applicants from abroad, priority will be given to a remote interview.  

Intakes 

To join the first year of the Grande Ecole-Masters in Management program, two intakes are available to applicants: 

  • September, available via Parcoursup and the SESAME competitive entrance exam  
  • January, which enables students wishing to change direction of study during an academic year in progress to join the School via six-month fast track training. They then join the other students in the second year in September. This option is available via an internal entrance exam.    

 

Admission onto the 2nd, 3rd and 4th years of the Grande Ecole-Master in Management program  

The admissions procedure for the 2nd, 3rd and 4th years comprises analysis of an application file, an English test, and an individual interview.    


 

Applicants must provide the following: 

  • Completed application file 
  • ID photo 
  • Photocopy of official ID (both sides) 
  • Photocopies of diplomas and reports obtained from baccalaureate level onwards (certified and translated into French for documents not in French) 
  • A tuition certificate for the year in progress if available 
  • CV 
  • Covering letter 
  • A minimum B2 level result obtained for an official French language test (DELF, DALF, TCF) for applicants for whom French is not their mother tongue 
  • Letter of recommendation from a professor, head of institution or employer (optional) 
  • 100 euros administrative fee (reduced to 50 euros for French State scholarship students, subject to producing the definitive scholarship certificate for the academic year in progress  

 

English test 

  • Results obtained in an English language test (IELTS, TOEFL, TOEIC) dating from the past two years for students having already sat such a test.  
  • If the applicant cannot provide an official grade, they will receive a link enabling them to take an online test.
