MSC IN LUXURY & FASHION MANAGEMENT STUDENT 2015-16

From Italy

“During the MSc in Luxury & Fashion Management program, I had the amazing opportunity to attend a private fashion show in Paris during fashion week. It was an unforgettable experience.

As soon as I arrived at the 5* luxury hotel, I knew that the experience would be something very special. The hotel was sophisticated and elegant with a magnificent entrance hall, and the attention to detail was impeccable. Participating in such an exclusive event, in such a prestigious location, gave me a true VIP experience of the luxury & fashion industry.

PSB students were sat just beside the catwalk, drinking champagne and tasting delicious pastries. It was better than I could have imagined. Having seen the models showcasing the designer’s new collection, I really understood the intricate organization that is needed to set up a luxury event.

During the program, we've also had the opportunity to take a field trip to Normandy, one of the most characteristic regions in France. Discovering places such as Château du Breuil, an old distillery that makes exquisite Calvados, and the fancy villages of Deauville and Trouville, has been an incredible experience.

In Trouville we had an exquisite lunch at the Fish Market, eating oysters, mussels, and shrimps along with the famous delicious "Jeanette Grand-Ma" fish soup. I really appreciated the tour of Deauville, the city where Coco Chanel made her first steps towards success, especially the visit at The Normandy Hotel. The place is really cosy and the architecture is very characteristic, you can breathe the history and the heritage of it whilst also appreciating the modern twist as it has been recently renovated with elegant and luxurious taste.

Moreover, we enjoyed a very good tea time, eating delicious pastries in the Summer garden of the Hotel. All in all, the trip was unforgettable and I’m glad that I had the opportunity to discover such an incredible part of the France, its heritage and luxury.

The Master program has given me the unique chance to not just learn but also touch and experience real luxury.”
