3rd Edition of the Social Media Awards on 19th June at ESG Management School
The Social Media Awards, which recognise the social media strategies of companies that have been active on the social networks in France will be organised for the 3rd consecutive year by ESG Management School and the Sorbonne Management School in collaboration with BE ANGELS on Thursday, 19th June.
The SMA (Social Media Awards) were created to recognise the best social media strategies brands use in France. With social media strategies, the branding strategy companies design are deployed on the major social networks Facebook, Twitter, Google +, YouTube and LinkedIn. The best branding strategies in terms of performance and social media innovation implemented this year will be acknowledged with awards at this 3rd edition of the event which mostly gathers digital professors and researchers and professionals.

The Social Media Awards are paving the way in innovation as, to date, it is the only event of this magnitude that rewards companies’ social media strategies.
Participating companies are separated into two categories:
The Major Achievers out of a select group of 100 brands present in France (CAC40, 2013 Interbrand and Forbes rankings)
E-commerce merchants from the 2013 Top 100 in French e-commerce compiled by Hipay and E-commerce Magazine.

Be Angels: a digital agency created in 2008 that specialises in social media and is the technology partner for the Social Media Awards as it provides the platform for measuring social media brand engagement.
The Social Media Awards are a chance to gather the community of digital professionals. As future business managers, ESG Management School and Sorbonne Management School students will also be associated with the event as will the schools' alumni networks.
The Social Media Awards ceremony will take place this year on Thursday, 19th June 2014 at the ESG Management School grand amphitheatre located at 59 rue Nationale in the 13th district of Paris.
Four prizes will be awarded at this ceremony:
2 Grand Prizes: in the Major Achievers and e-commerce merchants categories. The Grand Prizes will reward the best global social media strategies on the 5 social networks ((Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Google+ and LinkedIn) since June 2013.
1st Panel of Judges Prize which rewards the best acquisition strategy of all the companies in the sample of 200.
1st Prize for the best buzz of the year out of a pre-selected group chosen by our partner Be Angel and named by the audience during the ceremony.
