How Jean-Baptiste Pinthon is Redefining the Hotel Experience with Sezame

.

Graduated with a Master’s in International Business from Paris School of Business in 2017, Jean-Baptiste Pinthon has made entrepreneurship his field of expression. As co-founder of Sezame, he is now redefining the way luxury hospitality is experienced by developing the first European marketplace dedicated to premium day-use experiences.

Today, this marketplace has established itself as a leading reference in Europe for day-use experiences in the premium hospitality sector. Its ambition? To enable everyone to enjoy the finest 4-star and 5-star hotels and palaces in a different way, by providing access to experiences such as spas, brunches, swimming pools, day passes, and wellness moments, without the need to book an overnight stay.

Building through entrepreneurship

If entrepreneurship naturally became an obvious path for Jean-Baptiste Pinthon, it is also because he grew up in an environment where it was part of everyday life.

“I saw my father build a business. I saw him create. Very early on, I knew I needed that space too. I needed to be in action.”

For him, creating a company is not simply about having a good idea. It is, above all, about transforming an intuition into reality, bringing a team together around a shared vision, and actively shaping an industry.

This is precisely what guided the creation of Sezame: offering a new way to experience luxury hospitality, designed for a generation that values experiences over ownership and seeks meaningful moments without necessarily booking a hotel night.

A fast-growing entrepreneurial journey

In just a few years, Sezame has built the largest portfolio of premium day-use experiences in France, partnering with hundreds of some of the most prestigious hotels.

Today, the platform supports a fast-growing community of customers who wish to access high-end experiences in a more flexible and occasional way.

Already present in France and recently launched in the United Kingdom, Sezame is continuing its European expansion with an upcoming launch in Belgium. This growth reflects a clear ambition: to become the European leader in premium hotel experiences.

The role of Paris School of Business in his journey

For Jean-Baptiste Pinthon, his time at Paris School of Business was a true stepping stone towards entrepreneurship.

“PSB gave me a pragmatic business mindset, a taste for action, and an alumni network. Nothing beats networking.”

A practice-oriented education, enriched by an ecosystem that fosters encounters, exchanges, and professional opportunities.

“Entrepreneurship is a marathon”

Throughout his journey, Jean-Baptiste Pinthon has learned that entrepreneurial success is not only about having an innovative idea, but about persistence and execution.

“Entrepreneurship is not about having a good idea. It is about having the energy, clarity, and determination to turn it into reality, day after day. Entrepreneurship is a marathon.”

He also adds another reflection that reflects his mindset:

“Courage is not about never doubting. It is about moving forward even when you doubt. You make decisions every day, sometimes under pressure, with very little certainty. Yet you move forward. Because inaction is what can kill a business.”

Through his journey, Jean-Baptiste Pinthon embodies the entrepreneurial spirit encouraged by Paris School of Business among its students: turning vision into action, demonstrating resilience in the face of challenges, and daring to build innovative models that respond to evolving market expectations.
