7 new Associate Professors are coming to the Paris School of Business!

Paris School of Business is pleased to welcome seven new Associate professors to strengthen its faculty and research departments.

These arrivals mark the school’s desire to further internationalize its faculty, which is required to intervene on both the French and international programs offered  by Paris School of Business but also by the will to maintain gender parity within the faculty.

These recruitments also mark the intention of PSB to strengthen the lines of recognized scientific expertise of Paris School of Business such as: Energy, Green Finance, corporate governance, experiential marketing, New managerial and organizational practices.

Whelsy BOUNGOU, Ph.D in Finance & Banking

Dr. Boungou Whelsy holds a Ph.D. in Banking and Finance (in June 2021) from the University of Bordeaux, France. He then joined Paris School of Business as an Associate Professor of Finance in September 2021. Dr Boungou’s research focuses primarily on three areas, namely how banks adjust their business model in response to: (i) changing monetary policy interest rates; (ii) increased capital requirements; (iii) increased economic uncertainties. His research has been published in Journal of Economic Dynamics and Control, Economics Letters, Finance Research Letters, International Journal of Finance and Economics, Economics Bulletin, and Quarterly Review of Economics and Finance.  Dr. Boungou has also been a Visiting Researcher at the Centre de Recherche de Sciences Po – OFCE on several occasions.

Syrine Sassi is an Associate Professor of Finance at Paris School of Business in France. She holds a Ph.D in Finance obtained at the University of Paris Est Créteil (UPEC) in 2017. She carried out research visits at School of Accounting and Finance (The Hong Kong Polytechnic University), and Telfer School of Management (University of Ottawa). Her research, focusing mainly on corporate governance, financial management, and decision-making, is published in internationally recognised peer-reviewed journals such as Journal of Corporate Finance, Journal of Financial Research, and European Financial Management.

Gisele DE CAMPOS RIBEIRO is an Associate Professor at the Paris School of Business in France. She graduated in statistics and she obtained a master’s degree in Strategy and Organizations from Universidade Federal do Parana (UFPR) in Brazil. In France, she obtained a master's degree in Marketing and a Ph.D. in Management Sciences both from Paris-Dauphine University. Her research interests are in the field of consumer behavior and workplace management. Before moving to France, she worked several years as Business Analyst in the cosmetic industry in Brazil. In France, she worked for eight years at ESSEC Business School as Research Engineer conducting research projects and market studies.  Her work has been published in the Journal of Business Ethics, Journal of Business Research, Journal of Corporate Real Estate and also was presented at European Marketing Academy Conference.

Margaux Langlois is an assistant professor at PSB. She is currently completing a PhD in management from Paris Dauphine University. Her research focuses on new forms of organization (liberated enterprise, holacracy, sociocracy, etc.), in line with more democratic or participatory approaches through a critical perspective. At PSB, she teaches strategy, organization theory and human resources management in French and international programs. Before starting her PhD, Margaux worked as a project manager, as a consultant and as a HR manager. These professional experiences contribute to enrich her teaching.

Dr. Alessandro Ravina is an Associate Professor of Finance at Paris School of Business. His research focuses on Asset Pricing, with a focus on Climate Finance and Cryptocurrencies, and has been published on leading refereed journals like The Energy Journal (CNRS Rank 1). Dr. Alessandro Ravina has taught classes on a wide range of topics such as Portfolio Management, Calculus I & II, Statistics, Microeconomics and International Monetary Economics. He holds a Ph.D. in Financial Economics from Paris I Panthéon-Sorbonne University (2020) and a Master in Management from ESCP Business School (2010). Previously, he has served as Teaching and Research Associate at Paris I Panthéon-Sorbonne University (2018-2020). Dr. Alessandro Ravina joined the Asset Management industry in 2010 as a Financial Portfolio Manager and a Project Manager.

Hassan OBEID is a professor of finance at Paris School of Business, he's the head of PGE Master Wealth Management. Dr. Obeid is a researcher in Finance, his areas of research include company performance, bank efficiency, ICT and privatization. He is a member of the editorial board for academic journals. Hassan Obeid is an economic analyst and he's a trainer and consultant in Finance.

Ioannis G. Theodorakis (Ph.D.) is an Associate Professor of Marketing at Paris School of Business. His research interests include anthropocentric issues such as psychological responses to marketing stimuli dependent upon consumer psychographic predispositions, as well as business-strategy topics such as the conceptual and empirical investigation of marketing strategic orientations. His work has been published in Journal of Business Research, Industrial Marketing Management and Journal of Advertising, as well as in many proceedings of peer-reviewed international conferences (e.g., American Marketing Association, Academy of Marketing Science, American Academy of Advertising, and European Marketing Academy).
