The partnership with Paris School of Business

What motivated you to establish this partnership with Paris School of Business?

This partnership with Paris School of Business was a natural decision for Size Up Consulting. One of our Agency Directors, an alumnus of the school, attests to the quality of the education provided and the undeniable added value of a Paris School of Business degree in the job market. We are deeply convinced that the programs offered by this institution prepare competent, agile profiles ready to meet the challenges of modern businesses. Moreover, Size Up Consulting regularly opens apprenticeship positions, and it seemed natural for us to collaborate with a leading school to attract promising talent. This partnership represents a mutual opportunity: offering Paris School of Business students a rich professional immersion within our company, while strengthening our commitment to training and supporting new generations.

What positions and responsibilities will students take on?

As part of this partnership, we will welcome Paris School of Business students into a variety of roles, primarily as Business Engineers within our sales department and as Human Resources Officers within our HR division.

For Business Engineers, responsibilities will include conducting competitive intelligence, identifying and prospecting potential clients using our sales management tools, as well as carrying out in-depth analyses of prospect needs. They will work with our pre-sales, operations, and marketing teams to develop tailored offers, negotiate contract terms, close sales, and ensure rigorous follow-up of client relationships. They will also contribute to updating our reporting and monitoring services, ensuring both client satisfaction and project profitability.

As for Human Resources Officers, they will help define the profiles sought, draft and publish job postings in line with our ethical charter, and actively source candidates. They will manage the selection process—CV screening, interviews based on our SAPHIR method, presentation of validated candidates—while monitoring the job market and maintaining our talent pool. They will also participate in activities with partner schools, such as Paris School of Business, to promote our employer brand and support candidates through to contract signing. These missions provide a comprehensive, hands-on experience aligned with the demands of the professional world.

Professional experience: a lever for students and companies

In your view, why are apprenticeships, internships, or student jobs a springboard for students?

Apprenticeships, internships, or student jobs are essential bridges between academia and professional reality. For students, these experiences represent a first immersion in a real-world environment, where they can test their theoretical knowledge against everyday practice. Coming from an academic setting, they bring fresh perspectives, innovative ideas, and valuable energy to companies, while developing their own operational skills. This transitional period allows them to connect abstract concepts with tangible applications, strengthening their adaptability and understanding of professional challenges.

Size Up Consulting

At Size Up Consulting, we see these programs as opportunities for mutual growth: students enrich our teams with their creativity and dynamism, while we provide them with a structured framework to lay the foundations of their careers. It’s a springboard that gives them confidence, experience, and a first footprint in the professional world—valuable assets for their future.

Do you tend to prioritize hiring graduates with apprenticeship experience?

We do show a slight preference for young graduates who have completed apprenticeships, as they bring with them significant early professional experience. This prior exposure to the corporate world gives them operational maturity, adaptability, and an understanding of business dynamics that are real advantages. However, this preference remains measured: at Size Up Consulting, we value above all potential, commitment, and the willingness to learn, whether or not a candidate has followed such a path. Apprenticeship is a plus, but it is not an exclusive requirement; it complements a profile already rich in human and technical qualities.

Advice for a successful start in the professional world

What advice would you give to succeed in an apprenticeship, internship, or student job, and in entering professional life?

To succeed in an apprenticeship, internship, or student job, and to lay the groundwork for a successful entry into professional life, I would recommend that students adopt a proactive and open attitude. It is essential to absorb as much knowledge as possible—technical, methodological, or behavioral—by learning from the practices and ways of thinking of their colleagues. Being attentive, taking notes, and accepting advice or areas for improvement with humility are key attitudes for rapid progress.

From the very beginning, students should demonstrate commitment, readiness to prove themselves, and full involvement in the missions entrusted to them, as if they carried personal responsibility. Feeling invested in the objectives of the team and the company not only strengthens the trust given by managers but also their own legitimacy. Finally, I would encourage them to cultivate constant curiosity and seize every opportunity to learn: it is by fostering this mindset that they will build a strong and fulfilling career.
