Research seminar: "Do Crises Spell Adaptability ? Income Insecurity and Digital Skill Development in Europe"

On 22 June Dr. Humaira-Kamal Pasha , will be the guest speaker of the monthly Research Seminar organized by the Departments of Economics and of Finance

Humaira-Kamal Pasha our new Assistant Professor and Researcher at the Department of Economics has received her Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Clermont Auvergne CNRS CERDI in 2021. Her research areas include gender, sustainability, human capital, public policy, and economic development.

Dr. Pasha will present her paper entitled "Do Crises Spell Adaptability? Income Insecurity and Digital Skill Development in Europe". The paper investigates one of the main consequences of the COVID-19 pandemic, that is the urgency of skill development to overcome the unprecedented shocks to household income. Based on the European Social Survey data (2020—2022), the study examines the relations between the skill development and income insecurity in both public and private firms’ sectors.
