On March 09, the Research Seminar of the Management and Strategy Department will host Francesco Paolo APPIO to present his research work on “Researching innovation management at multiple levels: A focus on Artificial Intelligence”
Pr. Francesco Paolo Appio is Researcher and Full Professor at Paris School of Business (Paris, France). He was a visiting Professor at internationally renowned academic institutions such as Bocconi University (Italy), MIT Sloan School of Management (USA), and K.U. Leuven (Belgium). His research is interdisciplinary and mainly revolves around the impact of the digital transformation on innovation at multiple levels (ecosystems, city, organization, teams), taking into account different perspectives such as sustainability, socio-technical systems, technological change, and innovation capabilities.
The paper of Pr. Francesco Paolo APPIO explores how does investing in AI-based technologies benefit companies. In his presentation he will elucidate the effects of recombining knowledge from different scientific domains on improving a company's ability to generate radical technological inventions and on lowering the risks associated with investments in radical innovation projects, as well as the uncertainty of success.
