MBA in Arts & Cultural Management students at Paris School of Business travel to Italy for a four day seminar!
Paris School of Business students from the MBA in Arts & Cultural Management program travelled to Italy for a four day study trip last week.
The students attended the 55th International Art Exhibition in the historic city of Venice, also known as La Biennale di Venizia. This is one of the world’s most important events concerning current developments in international art.
Whilst in Venice, students visited various exhibitions and galleries to learn more about contemporary art, and even  participated in a conference delivered by an expert in Art History.
During the four day trip, the MBA students were guided by their Contemporary Art professor, Daniel Lesbaches. First on their agenda was a visit to the Conservatorio di Musica Benedetto Marcello, followed by an exhibition about glass techniques - Glasstress - at the Berengo Center.
The second day of the trip focussed on the central event in the Giardini: the gardens contain 27 main pavilions, each one is dedicated to a particular country and displays works of art by its nationals.
The next stop for the students was Pinault Foundation and Peggy Guggenheim Collections. The MBA class also headed to Giudecca Island with Art Advisor, Muriel Quancard, who gave a conference at the Complesso delle Zitelle about Chinese artist: Ai WeiWei.
Th fourth and final day of the study trip was dedicated to exciting visits to the Palazzo Ducale and Prada Foundation.
This four day seminar was certainly a remarkable experience for our MBA students allowing them to enrich their understanding about Contemporary Art History and the Art market.
