On Thursday, December 1st at 17h30, representatives from The Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA), a professional body oriented towards accounting, controlling and decision making will be making a presentation on the importance professionally of having such a qualification. This presentation is especially important for students interested in finance and accounting.
There is no equivalent of this Accounting qualification in the French system - the Grands Ecoles cover the management aspects but without the practical application.

Biographies
After graduating from Exeter University in the UK with a degree in French and Italian in 1998, Wendy Balls moved to the South of France and started working in Monaco for a software development company called Scorex, which is part of the Experian Plc group, specialised in Credit Risk Management.
Timothy Busby was the Finance and Human Resources Manager at CIMA from 2004 until 2010, when he moved to Paris, where he spent the past year studying through distance learning for his CIMA qualification. He passed the Operational level in May this year and will be doing the Management level exams in November.
