What is the January 2027 Intake at business schools?
The January 2027 intake is an academic pathway that allows students to start their studies outside the traditional academic cycle beginning in September. It is an ideal solution, particularly for students interested in business and related fields, who wish to start a programme during the academic year.
Although the academic calendar is different, the programme offered as part of the January intake is the same as that of a traditional September intake. The main difference lies in the pace of study: students follow an intensive programme over approximately six months, generally without interruption.
The January intake is open to all students who hold a French Baccalauréat or equivalent qualification. Candidates who meet the specific admission requirements and are interested in business and related fields can apply for this pathway.
The main benefit of this programme is that it offers an alternative to students who may have struggled to choose the right academic path after high school. It also provides an opportunity for students who have already started a degree programme and wish to change direction.
It also reflects higher education institutions’ commitment to preventing students from dropping out by offering solutions tailored to their individual needs.

Why Choose a January Intake?
After starting your degree, you may have realised that your programme is no longer right for you, as is the case for 40% of new university students. Perhaps you dreamed of working in medicine or sales, but became disillusioned after your first classes. Whatever the reason, changing your academic direction is not a failure: it is an opportunity to discover what you are truly passionate about.
There is no point in staying in a programme that is not right for you. There is nothing wrong with hesitating or even making the wrong choice when deciding on your academic path. What matters in the end is finding the path that is right for you.
There are many solutions that can help you avoid spending an entire academic year in a programme that does not suit you simply because you do not want to be left without a study programme until September. The January intake is one such solution.
Why Join Paris School of Business Through the January Intake?
The January intake allows students who wish to change their academic direction to join the first year of the programme of their choice, whether a Bachelor’s degree or a Master of Science.
