Paris Business School MBA students visit Baselworld 2012
MBA Luxury Management of Paris Business School students attended Baselworld 2012 – the World Watch and Jewellery Show, with Ms. Audrey Kabla, Paris School of Business Professor and founder of Epykomène, along with Ms. Jeanine Brami, Academic Advisor.
The excursions gave our MBA students the opportunity to gain an exclusive insight into the international watch and jewellery industries whilst also extending their understanding of watch branding strategies in distribution, marketing and communication.
Students participated in two conferences, the first hosted by Mr. Vincent Perriard, CEO of HYT who explained his unique concept: the first hydraulic watch structure, mixing a fluid system and a mechanical movement. Paris School of Business students were inspired by his captivating conference and the avant-gardism & technicality in HYT timepieces.
The second conference was conducted by Mr. Pierre Koukjian, Chief Creative Designer of deLaCour watch brand. Mr. Koukjian warmly welcomed our students and explained the conception and launch of the brand as well as specific strategies required when faced with increasing demand. Students thoroughly enjoyed discovering the iconic yet refined deLaCour timepieces.
The opportunity to network with such influential professionals of the Swiss watch-making industry in an environment where luxury meets advanced technology was an excellent experience and we will be sure to return in 2013 to Baselworld – the World Watch and Jewellery Show.A very special thank you to Mr. Pierre Koukjian and Mr. Vincent Perriard from all students and staff at Paris School of Business.
