MBA Luxury & Fashion Management Students Visit the Famous French Region of Cognac
From as far afield as China, Russia, Scotland, America, Malaysia, Brazil, and India, our students share a universal passion which has led them to travel many miles to enroll in the MBA in Luxury & Fashion Management at Paris School of Business.
During three days in November, MBA in Luxury & Fashion Management students visited Cognac to become acquainted with the major Cognac brands - essential symbols of the ‘Grande Tradition Française’ - on the very ground upon which the legacy was built. Thanks to the support of David Boileau, the Ambassador of Cognac, and the BNIC, our students had the exciting opportunity to discover Cognac’s gastronomic heritage, including the following Cognac houses:
Hennessy (Part of the Louis Vuitton Moet Hennessy group): Visit to winery and distillery and dinner at Château de Bagnolet.
Martell (belonging to Pernod Ricard): site visit and lunch at Château de Chanteloup.
Rémy-Martin (part of the Rémy Cointreau group): Site visit and lunch at the club.
Delamain Cognacs (part of the Jacques Bollinger group)
Cognacs Leyrat-ABK6: Tasting
Tonnellerie Vicard
Students also participated in a workshop at Château Laribaudière where they were welcomed by Michelin Star Chef Thierry Verrat for an introduction to French ‘Haute-Gastronomie’ and French Etiquette. This was followed by dinner with the theme “Covenant of Food and Cognac”. Oliver Paultes, Director of Distilleries and Skills Communication at Hennessy, also attended giving students yet another unique opportunity to learn more about cognac and the luxury industry.
Paris School of Business would like to extend a special thanks to Valérie Haie - Dean of the MBA in Luxury & Fashion Management - and everybody who contributed to the success of this fantastic visit to Cognac!
