Paris School of Business Executive Programs Works With African Parks Network
Paris School of Business Executive Programs is proud to have participated in a conservation project in Congo-Brazzaville.
Dr Georges Nurdin and Desmond McGetrick were engaged at the request of African Parks Network to moderate the Board of Directors meeting, composed of stakeholders in the co-development of Odzala Park in the North of Congo. Representatives of local communities, government, donors, local industry and park management each brought a new perspective to the project.
One of the major challenges and related opportunities of the meeting was to overcome cultural differences: differences in language, as well as differences in organizational culture. Our goal was to facilitate mutual understanding. Just beyond the scope of our intervention - but necessarily in our awareness set - lies the question of alignment of interests in a long-term conservation project.
The objectives set to Paris School of Business Executive programs were achieved: a time-bound (4 hours including interpretation) respectful dialog between the stakeholders.
